This is actually hilarious because I had a dream not long ago about this. I'd like to thank... My God, my family, my friends, and my fans. Then I'd walk off the stage. Quick and easy, just like that.

While ago I was sitting outside waiting on my mom to pick me up. As I was lazily sitting on my chair by the front door, making out my grocery list, I got an awesome surprise.
In my front yard is a young oak tree that I planted when Megan, my daughter was born. It's a tradition in my family to plant a tree when a child is born. That tree is only 15 years old is already quite large. On the lower limbs of this tree I have a cloth-like decoration that is a flower. It's all tattered from years of weather but it was given to Megan at a young age so there it stays. Also on that same branch is a windchime that was given to me a few years ago by an art professor from UCA. The windchime is a medium-size bell with a gothic-style sun hanging from the bell, all in metal. On the opposite side of the tree, on another limb hangs a double suet cake feeder. Those suet cakes get eaten quite quickly. I have to change it out about once weekly.
A female Rednecked Woodpecker was pecking out the last tidbit of suet cake. I was watching it and added it to my list of things to buy. Waiting in line was a male Eastern Redbird. It was chirping its little heart out. I rarely will say that I feel happy. But watching animals, whether it's birds, squirrels, cats, dogs, ect. makes me feel happy. My heart was all a flitter while watching those two birds.
With my dog, Rascal at my feet watching me watch them, I was feeling quite content. A breeze picked up sending the leaves on the holly bushes a shiver. The holly bushes line front part of my house. In a wisp came a flutter of sparrows. These little birds were chattering away. Then in a sudden swift a hawk or falcon (it was so quick I couldn't really tell which it was) swooped down, grabbed an unexpecting sparrow and flew away. It all lasted less than a second and right in front of me. If I reached out my hand, I could have touched the hawk or falcon. In a split second all the small birds scattered to hide. But once everything got quiet, they all came back.
As I caught my breath at such an experience, a male Rednecked Woodpecker alighted on the truck of the tree, then the female followed. And, one of my favorite wild bird, a male Tufted Titmouse skipped from limb to limb until it flew away. The hawk or falcons were up in the tips of the trees so I guess that's why all the little birds disappeared again.
It was such a sight.

My mom and I have had pnuemonia. When I'm sick, I just hibernate (as most of my friends consider it). So does my mom. I don't even get on the computer even though it's readily available. I'm still not quite out of my hole yet but I'm getting there. I'm going to have a gastric bypass soon. I'm excited about that. :D I gave blood earlier today. So I'm a bit dizzy other than that I'm doing fine. Here's my latest personal journal entry I've written. This happened today. I Missed My Cue 8:33pm Today Just about every Monday night you can find me with my parents at the Pizza Inn on Oak Street. It's Senior Citizen day at Pizza Inn so we go there to eat. Plus by the time you buy all the ingredients to make a salad and at least one pizza, you'll spend more than the $5.99 (for me. $4.99 for my parents). Plus we've got like an extended family there. They all know us and we know them. Like last Monday, mom stayed home sick. They sent her get well cards and the workers there even made a poster for her to get well signed by all of them.
Anyway, there is this cute guy who comes in. He always wears a work shirt that says Roc Tin on it so that tells me where he works. I found out today he rides a red Ninja motorcycle which is totally cool to me. He and I have been making eye contact and smiling to each other for the last few months but have yet to say anything but hello to each other. I, personally don't know how to approach him. He almost always comes in awhile after we've already started eating.
Well, today I had my chance to chat with him but missed it. Yeah, I know, I'm an idiot. Twenty years ago you would have caught me chatting him up the first moment I laid eyes on him. Yet, twenty years ago, this guy wasn't my type. Now that I'm thirty-seven years old, I'm a bit shy on how to talk with guys until I get to know them. Weird, I know. Weird for me anyway. You all who know me are in disbelief, I know. But it's true. Maybe it's because I'm jaded. I know I'm terrified of being in another relationship like I have had in the past. Maybe that is what stops me, I don't know.
The way I missed it was he opened the door for me, I hesitated then pretended to wait on my parents. He was looking right at me. I could tell he was hoping I'd come right out. Instead of waiting any longer, he walked on out and waited on his buddy. Usually he eats alone but today he ate with two other guys.
Now I'm wishing I can change back time. But don't we all wish we can change things we had the chance to do in the first place.

Police See Paranormal Activity in Pub
LONDON (AP) - British police responding to a call about a possible break in at a
pub in northern England Monday found themselves in the middle of a ghoulish riddle.
Officers arrived at the Low Valley Arms pub near Barnsley in South Yorkshire, 250
miles north of London, after being told the alarm had been set off, but instead of
finding any signs of a robbery, they were faced with a shaken landlord convinced
he had encountered a ghost with half a face missing in the ladies washroom.
Though they saw no ghoul- described as a woman in flowing white gown- officers were
shocked to find toilets flushing themselves, said Inspector John Bowler of South Yorkshire Police.
Pub landlord Roger Froggat, 55, and his wife Kathryn, 49, moved in a year ago and
said they had seen nothing before, despite rumors of a resident specter.
``I heard the alarm go off for a second time, went into the pub and all the
television screens had turned on,'' the pub owner said.
``I went to check the rest of the pub and standing in the women's lavatories was a
woman with half her face missing. I was petrified.''
Officers found no signs of forced entry and were left quite scared, Bowler added.
Since the ghost story became public, the pub has become the talk of the town, attracting
everyone from mediums to a national television film crew determined to catch a glimpse of the
mystery woman should she appear again. Despite their shock, the Froggats
said they have no plans to leave their village pub.

The next time you hear a politician use the word "billion" in a casual manner, think about whether you want the "politicians" spending your tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.
a.. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
b.. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
c.. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
d.. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
e.. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
